DART plans to end all services in the City of Grimes at the end of the service day on June 14, 2025. This change is due to the City of Grimes’ decision to withdraw from DART late last year.
The following services will be impacted:
- Express Route 93 – NW 86th
Route 93 will no longer travel in Grimes. All trips on Route 93 could start or end on 86th Street near Crescent Chase in the City of Johnston.
- Paratransit
Paratransit trips that start or end in Grimes will no longer be offered.
- On Call
DART will end Grimes On Call service. This service will no longer provide trips by request between Grimes and other northwestern communities of Clive, Johnston, Urbandale and the northern part of West Des Moines.
- Park & Ride
The DART Park & Ride lot at Walmart will no longer be available. It is possible the Park & Ride lot at The Bridge in Johnston will also go away, depending on exactly where Express Route 93 starts and ends.
